Ivan has been teaching maths at the same school for over 20 years. He specialises in teaching 6th form students (Maths, Further Maths and Computer Science) but is just as happy teaching at any key stage. With infectious enthusiasm for the subjects he teaches, Ivan’s delivery engages and inspires his students. Many of his previous pupils have gone on to study maths related subjects at top universities up and down the country.
Prior to teaching, Ivan spent 9 years in the Army as a musician with the Coldstream Guards Band. He travelled all over the world and performed many times in front of the royal family. When not teaching he can be found cooking up a storm in his kitchen, working up a sweat in the gym or planning his next trip to Sheffield to see his daughter at Uni. Although, let’s be honest, sometimes he’s just bingeing Netflix on the sofa with his wife and dog!
